Makeup Trend: Orange is the New Red

Orange lips are all over the red carpet and runways. Here are some helpful tips for choosing the right citrus shade for your skin tone.

Fair Complexion: Choose a pinky-orange or coral shade with very little yellow in it. Lighter, more pastel shades work better on a fair toned skin.

Fair Complexion with Red Hair: Opt for a matte shade.

Medium Complexion: Go for a bright and bold shade of orange. Vibrant shades really compliment medium skin.

Dark Complexion: Try shades with a brown base. A deeper, brick shade of orange works best with deep skin tones. 

Warm Tones: Choose a lighter shade, such as peach that brightens up the face and softens the greenish effect typical of olive skin tones. Maybe choose a shade with a bit of shimmer or copper flecks.

Cool Tones: Lean towards a red based orange or coral hue to balance the pink undertones in your shin.
